Eco-Dye Silk Haboti, Water Garden

18.00

This silk panel has incredible layers of leaves and ghosted leaves, giving it such depth, interest and beauty! Some of the rose leaves are purples and others are a variety of greens. Partially eaten leaves tell of hungry June bugs here in upstate NY. This silk panel is frame-worthy as it is and would make a unique and precious wedding gift, or a special accent piece in your own home. Gentle and soft to the touch, this silk would make an exquisite pillow cover, especially in a bedroom, or it would be gorgeous to stitch into with embroidery and/or applique.

Every eco-bundle panel is unique, adding to the thrill of its limitless potential. Silk haboti has a light, soft hand and beautiful drape. Need more ideas? How about a journal cover or working into a garment? Let your imagination lead the way!

These bundles take an average of one to two full weeks of mordanting, rolling and tying, steaming, steeping, dyeing, steeping again, and then washing, drying and pressing. The process is involved, beautiful and so worth it. Wait until you hold any of these fabrics in your hands! You’ll be mesmerized by all there is to see!
