Eco-Dye Silk Noil, Pen and Ink

18.00

Look closely at the two detail photos and discover the pen and ink quality around those golden organic shapes! It’s the first and only time I’ve seen this happen in my eco-bundles. The last photo is of a different piece of silk noil that I’ve stitched simply to show you the potential these eco-dye fabric panels offer! Every eco-bundle panel is unique, adding to the thrill of its limitless potential. Silk noil has the most supple hand, soft nubby texture and delicious body to stitch into. Need ideas? How about pillows, project bags of all sorts, a journal cover, a sewing caddy, working into a garment, an art quilt or a precious framed piece. Let your imagination lead the way!

These bundles take an average of one to two full weeks of mordanting, rolling and tying, steaming, steeping, dyeing, steeping again, and then washing and drying. The process is involved, beautiful and so worth it. Wait until you hold any of these fabrics in your hands! You’ll be hooked on silk noil and eco-dyeing!
